Identify Yourself with Style... and Attitude! Aug 16, 2008
By GoodwinsGal UPDATE 7/1/09 - Well, this case is now in the trash. Literally. I just threw it away. It started giving me trouble a few months ago (wouldn't close right) and today, when I popped it open, the whole latch mechanism fell out, rendering the case useless. Looks like I'll be hitting the local mall for a simple wallet replacement. It didn't even last a year. My previous case (not from the same manufacturer) lasted years. I'm very disappointed.
This adjusts the stars I'd give it - STARS: 0
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I love snark. I'm a big fan of sarcastic humor, so the Anne Tainor line of products (from pocket tissues to id cases to bags) is always a stylish vintage way to make a splash.
When my I.D. case broke a few days ago, I popped onto Amazon.com for a replacement and saw this I.D. Case. Perfection! Ordered it and it arrived this morning. I was pleasantly surprised by the solid feel of the case compared to my old one, a good clasp/lock system and (from the look of things) a much better spring to hold it all together (which is what broke in my old one). Great color on the graphic. Very pleased with the construction AND the packaging by the FridgeDoor Inc., company (who this is sold through). Heck, they even wrapped the case in nice packing paper before putting it a VERY nice, thick shipping box. No risk of damage here... and they even scribbled a handwritten "Thanks!" on the enclosed order sheet. Nice personal touches. As a customer I like that.
The only downside is that the I.D. case is thin. My old case (still an I.D. case, not a cigarette case) handled my 2 credit cards, drivers license, library card, a couple of business cards, and a few bonus cards from resturants, grocery store, etc., and still closed. This new case won't hold all of them, just my necessities so other potential buyers might want to keep that in mind. If you've got a lot to carry, you might be better off with a thicker cigarette/ID case.
But if you're looking for essentials only in a fun-filled package o' snark? This is definitely the case for you!
