 Great for decor, questionable for function as coasters May 14, 2010

I purchased these Beatles coasters primarily for decor in a musically themed basement game room. They are perfect for that, and are high quality. The images are sharp with great color. The coasters are thick and sturdy, however they are also made of a high gloss paper on top (where the album art is). I would imagine that the water ring from a sweating glass, or an unnoticed stain would probably bubble up the gloss paper finish.
I have not put that to the test, it's just a theory. So if you want to really use these as coasters, they might not hold up. But if you want them for decorative accent, they are top notch.
