A lot of fun even for adults! Jun 17, 2010 This yo-yo is a lot of fun. I got mine in an orange color and it works great. I bought it because i wanted a yo-yo that could sleep (stays down and comes back up) and this worked! It does seem a little cheap looking but it wasnt a big deal to me. I do wish that you could have the option of choosing your own color. But other than that this is fun!

Decent, but more of a novelty May 31, 2010 The butterfly was my first yo-yo I had every received when I was a child, and I would play with it for hours. Years later I decided to pick one up again and relieve some memories. As far as for a serious yo-yo player or someone wanting to learn how to become a better thrower, the Butterfly does leave you wanting more. It does do the basics and it does them decently, but is a tricky yo-yo to try and grow with. This is partly do to its fixed axle design, meaning it cannot be taken apart and that it has lower spin times.
PROS:
-Sheer novelty, if you remember these and just want to relive some memories, this is where it is at.
-Really cheap, 2-4 dollars is a steal making it a great toy to purchase for children (Awesome stocking stuffer).
-For its price it does have offer some decent features, but the Duncan Mosquito is a better choice for any player wishing to become a yo-yo player or grow as one.
CONS:
-Really poor spin times, only around 5-15 secs. is about where I can get it, meaning most tricks are hard to perform as a beginner on this yo-yo.
-Slow response, does not have the really nice 'snap' back as other yo-yos a few dollars more, becomes more apparent while performing certain looping tricks.
-Fixed axle, when I was a child I actually broke mine apart on accident, now I know better, but it definitely stinks if you tangle up a string.
If you are just looking to mess around with a yo-yo for pure fun, look no further than this, but for someone more interested in diving into the depth found in yo-yo play, then there are better options out there for you.
Will I buy probably another one? You bet, but only for the nostalgia.

Let's go back to basics Mar 25, 2010 There are a lot of different kind of toys in the market at this time. Electronic and robotic toys seem to have all the attention of our kids, and I think it's ok, I don't have anything against toys from the future. But let's go back to basics... Toys like yo-yo's that don't require batteries are so much fun, and reminds us that fun shouldn't be so complicated or expensive.
Let's teach our children to have fun without complicating their life, and they will definitely live a better uncomplicated life in their future.

You Can Be a Pretty Good Yo-Yo with Some Practice Mar 18, 2010 I bought this yoyo a few days ago and I cant stop playing with it! I love butterfly yoyos. But beware, I don't recommend them for beginners. I kinda got discouraged when it wouldn't do what I wanted it to do at first, but after a bit of practice, I'm pretty good with it now.
Great Yo Yo Dec 31, 2009 I bought this Yo Yo for my 10 year old niece for Christmas and she loved it! It is a great yo yo for beginners to help teach them how to control thier hand/eye coordination!
